Arkansas once known as the Bear State, has some excellent bear hunting today.
Outlaw Guide Service is located in the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas and is ran by Sandy Roark and his family. Sandy has been hunting bears since the 1980's and has become known for killing bears in this part of the state.
Known as the Ouachita Outlaw, for obvious reasons, Sandy started guiding hunters in 2005 and the rest is history.
For an exciting adventure come hunt these bruins with the Outlaw Sandy Roark and his guides this season.
Most hunts are semi-guided over bait, out of ladder stands or ground blinds. Record book bears are possible. Weight ranges from 150lbs to 600lbs, color phase not uncommon.
Sandy has cabins to stay in and will feed you out of his family business, Burl's Country Smokehouse Restaurant.

Archery & Crossbow - (Mid-September through early November)
Black Powder - (Mid-October for about a week)
Rifle - (November - usually don't hunt due to peak deer hunting season)

Spring Turkey Hunts!
Sandy guides spring turkey hunts in Arkansas with over 40 years of experience. Sandy is well known for killing long beards in the Ouachita Mountains.
He began hunting turkeys as a boy in the hills of Arkansas in the 1970's and through the 80's and 90's he has become known as one of the best hunters in the area. For a hunt of a lifetime, come kill a mountain long beard turkey with "The Ouachita Outlaw"!
